Just received a Fausto Coppi frame I got off fleabay (and very nice it is too). It has what I'm guessing must be a front mech mounting bracket thingy - as per the pic. Does anyone recognise this? Is there some secret to mounting a mech? Any advice appreciated.

It's totally standard. Front mechs come in braze on or band on fitments, and also top or bottom pull, so that's another thing to bear in mind when you go shopping.

Let's see the whole frame

Beware Fausto Coppi things.

I'm not too sure what happened but he didn't appear to trade mark his name so whenever someone wants a "name" for their product guess who they turn to.
