nowt wrong with chain ring as its a new one I fitted a few months back. The issue is that I stripped the threads on the crank (drive side ) so getting them involved bearing pullers  Anyway rather than replace the last time I changed the bottom bracket and refitted the cranks, thinking that will last a while and by that time I will have sold it/scrapped the bike and be riding a new one  Never seen this coming ! So..... Do I take the chainset on offer or buy my own? New bike would be good however I had plans to change out bars and stems etc for nice upgrades!

If you want a lowwwww cost option and are riding it as a SS then Stronglight's 55 is super light, super cheap (£20 from spa) and works. It is on nearly all Bromptons, but is not robust enough for fixed. A 118mm JIS BB will give you a 45mm chainline (other chainline just ask).

What's wrong with using a puller anyway, how often do you pull it?

You might be better off getting present bike sorted at minimal/their cost, then if and when you want buy another (now having much wider choice) with what you can sell present bike (now with pristine frame) for plus the £275.

Do you have to use Halfrauds to put the bike back together or would a Spesh dealer do it for you?

I will put it back together myself, I think the better option is assuming they give me a front fork to match, is to just get a new frame and pay the £65 for the new cranks and BB. The Langster is a 42mm chainline IRC so what other options are there, I don`t think the current Langster comes with a Sugino cranks unlike the ones of old  Look the same tho?? I would use the puller but why stick crappy old cranks that are damaged onto a new frame?? Think I will just bite the bullet and get the frame if I can be assured that I will get forks to match other wise thats another £60!!
