I was going to suggest olive oil, but nowadays the price of it is the same or even more as @biggs682 pharmaceutical remedy!

Banana Industries (old 'proper' PlanetX) has them for £10 each - https://www.bananaindustries.co.uk/products/maxxis-pursuer-700x28c-road-folding-tyre-black but postage needs adding, so only cheaper if you're ordering other items as well.

I might pick a pair up for the Giant FCR. However I do balk at paying more for a pair of tyres than I did for the whole bike.

I've got cx comp on my winter bike nice tyres but a bit wasted on tarmac?!

@Jameshow - definitely. I'd use them on my commuter, but not for general road use. There I tend to use Vittoria Rubino's or on the 'better' bikes GP5000's or Pirelli P Zero's.
