Cheers for that link, bought myself a pair of the Pimlico shorts, much tidier looking than the Endura Humvees I currently have and much better price too at only £18 (and that included the £5 delivery!).

Thanks for the "heads up"; I ordered a couple of merino tops on Saturday, they've arrived already. Sizing is pretty generous; I have a 41" chest and a 36" waist, (usually a large), however the medium fits me quite nicely.

You're not wrong. Got a pair of 32" shorts, which have more space around my waist than the 34" trousers I bought before I started cycling regularly.

I am looking at the Putney Men's shorts for the same price and very similar. I just wondered do yours have any padding in them or do you use your own liner? Just the description is not that clear, I am really just looking for some baggy shorts for commuting that I use my own liner underneath, I was thinking of Hummvee as I have the long version that is pricey. The main thing I like about the Hummvee is how thin they are, I am not sure that these are as they are made from cotton twine whatever that is. Thanks for any help.

No they don't come with any padding, and compared to the Humvees, the material is much thicker/stiffer. As the description states they are made from robust stretch cotton twill and are teflon coated. So despite the great price, if you prefer the thin nylon of the Humvees, these probably aren't what you are looking for.

They look like they'll be very hard wearing shorts, perhaps more suited to touring as they look far more presentable off the bike (they seem to be a much neater cut than the Humvees, not so baggy). I think they'll fare better in the rain too, though I'm not sure they'll be ideal shorts for wearing in hot weather.

From my experience, dealing with Rutland cycling has been a consistently negative experience. I'm still waiting for half of a November order. The half that arrived was wrong and in past they have consistently cancelled orders due to not having stock. Just my 2 cents

Tredz are also doing specials on the specialized inner tubes here -> CLICK ME I got a box of 10 and they arrived with no problems.
