Be interesting to see how it fares against Shimano for quality, gear changes & lifespan. I need a new cassette & it's £50+ for 11-34 ultegra

Hello, what's this? A 10 speed road bike with full alloy frame, carbon fork, full Tiagra groupset (inc brakes and crank), Shimano R500 wheels, FSA stem, headset & seatpost, Selle Royale Seta saddle (very comfy, I've got two of them) all for under £300? Surely not!

https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/calibre-rivelin-2-0-road-bike-p383864

Downside is that only 52cm & 54cm sizes are available and it doesn't have a top manufacturers name on it.

Bike Radar gave it a 4 stars out of 5 for the lower Claris spec version.

Also on Go Outdoors, this Orbea Avant with a triple chainset (albeit only Tourney) and a carbon fork for under £200!

Screwfix have a wheel shelf for £8. If I am understanding the description, this should be able to hold up to 29" car tyres, so... would that work for a 700c wheel with a tyre?

If not, maybe you could fit another bike in if you could rack your winter wheels up a bit higher.

What stops a much thinner bike wheel/tyre from twisting and falling through the gap?

I haven't inspected it, but with guessing and Pythagoras (please check this, not used this since school).
Straight (estimate rails each 10% recessed) 584mm
hypotenuse (700c rim) 622mm
SOH
CAH <--
TOA

Then I used excel DEGREES(COS(584/622)) = 33.84293 Degree angle to make it fall out.

(37.332 with 28mm tyres)

I haven't tried it but I'd be racking up wheel bags ideally, but if you have a bunch of wheels, that angle might not be possible.

Top effort, although I am still not putting my carbon wheels on that rack, I am sure within a week I would have hit my head it knocking all my wheelsets off onto my bikes below.
