My understanding is, it is a fairly wide saddle, but without the springs you would usually see. I'm not sure what demographic that's for.

Yoyo pricing is sadly typical for PX. Take any links to bargains there with a small bucket of salt - you might get lucky but might not. It's not really worth posting every PX former-bargain price change on here else I suspect we'll lose sight of the actual bargains.
Also, remember that CCers have described PX as "Probably the worst online transaction I have ever experienced", and "The world must be told how crap Planet X are at customer service matters" and "I have a couple of things I bought from them with which I was not entirely happy"

Just to redress the balance a bit I've bought loads of gear from PX from a pair of socks up to a fully assembled road bike and never had a problem. Perhaps I've been one of the lucky ones!
