I'm also a 39" chest, and in that respect the medium was a spot on 'race' fit. Tried on again this morning and can't live with the excessive arm length though so mines being returned.

Maybe thats why its reduced so much due to a bad fit?

Lanky arms here but yes the sleeves are very long

I know nowt about it but it is a decent company and has Gore stuff in it.

Note the caution at the bottom of the listing - clearly it's typically barmy Italian sizing so you are advised to select a size two, yes TWO, sizes above your norm. I've never understood why Italian men want to be thought fat bastards - I have an italian top (very nice) that is XL or maybe even XXL - and it's still a snake fit.

Gilet's are very useful. I'd jump but I already have about 3.

Careful with the sizing folks - Sportful, so assume there may be more Italian barminess.

Must admit I didn't look too closely vickster (you need to examine the "chain" at the top of the page) but then I wasn't suggesting it for me - as I said I have plenty. Yep, there are women on here I think. Rumour has it that you are one all the best.

You were the one who assumed that only men's clothing should be linked and women's needs to be specified. Why? This website isn't gender specific last time I looked

I can't actually see why it matters with a gilet. And women's shorts won't kill you
