links to planet x should be banned!

It's too tempting to browse around and at that point you know you can book a funeral date for your wallet

Common? which post and what was wrong with it? Defective carbon post can be seriously dangerous, might be worth sharing your experience?

OK sorry I shall expand:

The FSA SLK Carbon Seatpost reduced to £25 has a defect (well mine one did). The guys that rang me when it was returned said that they could not guarantee that another one would not do the same and had agreed they had a few back for the exact same reason. With this information and the only alternative being a own brand aluminium replacement or a full refund I decided to choose the full refund.

The guy basically said look for a full carbon post as the cheaper ones cannot be in the same league of quality justifying you get what you pay for. With this experience in mind I shall do this with any upgrades in future, hope this helps.

Just bought a pair of cheap shoes and gloves from Aldi.
http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/offers_week37Thursday10.htm?WT.z_src=main
The shoes feel great and for £20 you can`t go wrong.I want them as spares for winter. The gloves are pretty decent too, again for spares when main gloves are drying.
I would have bought the winter trousers but they didn`t have them in my size at Altrincham........maybe I`ll just have to try Cheadle because for £12.99 they`re pretty decent.

P7 Lenser Torch. Amazon £34. Free delivery.

This goes on my commute bike and the old Tesco 3W Cree is going on the BSA 20 to give a bit more light than the Sturmey front vacuum bulb.
