Nowt wrong with the virtuoso, good solid entry level road bike .I know many dislike Halfords, but this seemed a good deal? it's a Carrera which is an ok brand?

The price seemed very nice for an entry level road bike?

https://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-500-se-road-bike-id_8306187.htmlI have just gotten into cycling but I always remember Carrera being a decent brand when I was younger.
The bike looked nice, white puts me off a little as my hybrid is white and every little mark and scuff drives me nuts.
I was looking at trying to get a road bike and had been having a good look at the Merida ride 100, still need to convince the other half though as my hybrid has cost me a small fortune last few months.
Wow that looks a nice bit of kit.
20% off shorts, saddles etc at Planet X, bringing these down to a very reasonable £16.80. (+ p and p unless you spend £50+):

Various other shorts, bibs etc in the same offer, as is their Ti railed saddle, down to £31. Not a super bargain, but as cheap as I've seen it for a while and a very good saddle IMO:
