Whats the clearance like for Mudguards and slightly wider tyres - was thinking about getting a wet weather bike and was going to go for the Btwin 500se, although you can just about get mudguards on it would be a very tight fit even with 23mm on, then when I saw this the other day I thought it might be another option??So the bike turned up on Thursday after ordering late Tuesday , currently set up for the turbo until the weather gets better, so i`m still on my hybrid on the roads. Please excuse the horrible pedals until it gets some new spd`s. Really happy with the bike though and £319.99 a bargain , not sure but I think the make may be MEKK ?. The only thing I will change on it is the bar tape, picture added, which i`ve ordered from Bangood for £1:56 including p&p and if it`s no good at that price i`ll just ditch it.

About 10mm on the front from top of the tyre to underside of brake and around 4/5mm on the back , so you`d probably have a bit of a squeeze for mudguards etc on the back.
Yeah they would they're the ones that Decathlon recommend for the 500se. Don't look as solid or as useful as full guards though.

Halfords are opening a sub-brand called Cycle Republic with the word halfords intentionally small. The usual 5 for a tenner on tubes, BUT they have 20% off everything (only 10% off bikes) until Friday, so £8 for five tubes
Only downside is that you have to go to their one store (London W1)

The only tube I ever bought from Halfords had a hole in it.
Refunded no issue but I had checked it at home. If I had been out on the moors and was relying on it I would have been even less chuffed.

Do you repair them when you puncture, the ones I had from Halfords had lots of raised seams and were hard to repair .
Not on the road.
Have repaired the odd one just to keep as a spare.
Sadly also my experience, after I had used my last two patches on the existing tube. Ride over and support car called.The only tube I ever bought from Halfords had a hole in it.
