I think longterm build quality may have something to do with it (and brand snobbery) but I think at those prices you can afford to 'buy cheap, buy twice'

I had a really good moon meteor USB front light that cost £50. I stopped working - I took it apart - water damaged :-( after 1 year.

Schwalbe Winter Spike from 17euros, I ran the 622-30 which is 700c sizing, last winter as they were the narrowest version I could find to save weight

Wiggle's own brand ones are under £2 per tube at the moment (I just bought a pack of four for £7.75). Haven't had to test one yet so can't comment on quality.

I bought the same thing on Wiggle for £3.19, if you bought 2 then it would only be £6.40. Cheaper if you aren't interested in coloured cables.
