Are are having a sale on the NEW Hope Vision 1's at the moment. (Blue colour only) They usually retail at about £80-90.
Included are 4 batteries and a battery charger.
They are reducing the price by 1% every night. The price is currently at £41.65.
So it's a cracking a bargain.
There are only 19 left so I would hurry if you want to to take advantage as they are selling fast.

Also they are doing a 2 for 1 on High5 Zero tabs (only Berry or Citrus) £5.95

How does it compare to the original Hope 1's? (Blue would be absolutely fine - to match my original one ).

Let's ask @StuAff
He has one of the new ones.

@summerdays found this on the other place

according to the Hope website - lumen output has increased by 35% on the 2013 version with no reduction in battery life over the original version

so quoting the burn times from the leaflet supplied with my original Hope 1

with 2700mA Ni-Mh rechargeables
Flash - not quoted
Low - 30 hrs
Med - 8.75 hrs
High - 3.75 hrs
Max 2.75 hrs

for disposable lithiums increase by run times are greater by about 25%
However there is 1 less setting on the new version - I've not found any official spec but have found this on the web and it seems in line with what Hope are saying

Burn Times 2013 version
Low - 24 hours
Med - 7 hours
High - 3 hours
Flash - 35 hours

He does indeed. The original version is not outshone (pun intended) but the 2013 is a big step up. Three power levels instead of three, but the 2013's level one light output is at least equivalent to the older version's second setting, with the same battery life as the older light's level one, so you lose nothing. The beam spread is noticeably broader than the older model too- a very helpful improvement. Running the two side by side on level one the older version still acts as a useful booster (two lights probably gives you a better spread anyway), and you'll be fine running them all night. Proved very effective on FNRttCs so far.

7 Day shop have a very nice cree LED front light that is painfully bright at the moment. http://www.7dayshop.com/7dayshop-bi...h-headlight-kit-rechargeable-cree-t6-xm-l-led
at only £26 i consider this a bargin, it outshines more expensive lights easilly, only time will tell though for durability

Anyone got these ? Have seen the ebay ones but the 7dayshop have a full years warranty on theirs so would pay a bit extra for that ,the one`s i`ve checked on ebay only seem to have have 30 days.

Have they sorted the rather annoying mount out? I always got frustrated with it, as the whole bracket had to be removed with the light, so when you put it back on you had to fiddle to get the right angle. I ended up adapting an exposure quick release bracket.

Mount much the same. I don't find it that annoying, tbh, but I know opinions on it vary a lot!

It's nice and secure, but it's really annoying having to adjust it every time you put the light back on to get your preferred angle.
Still, my Exposure "bodge" works well.

Just tried to buy one after dithering for a bit ... and it had sold out in the time it took from putting it in the basket to checking out. Never mind - maybe they are about to do a new version with a battery light she says hopefully.

Damn... that was quick.
