mine turned up today. i wont be using them for a while if the weather stays like this. paraded around the house in them today for about 15 minutes and they were exceptionally warm.

Did you parade using the feather duster?

So do you think they would be too warm for summer use?

Super impressed with Wiggle, ordered Saturday evening and arrived Monday morning..... with free delivery (it said Next Day on the order slip though)

I wore the 3/4 length Roubaix bib short on Saturday in 26deg heat and was a little uncomfortable. I suspect these, whilst only meant to be used between 10-20deg will still be ok in the sort of heat we've had over the last week, really depends on your comfort levels though. Besides, it'll be peeing it down again in no time ^_^

To be fair the UK has the majority of the year in conditions that the roubaix shorts would be ideal for. Prolong the use with adequate arm/leg warmers and they would be a good addition to many a cyclists arsenal!

Got back a couple of hours ago after the first ride. First of all I didnt find them very comfortable, correct size but wouldnt really like to use them on more than a 50 miler. In terms of being suitable for summer riding... according to my computer I was riding in 20 degrees and overall I found them very comfortable. Very little difference compared to the lighter weights I own. Maybe a few more degrees may make a lot of difference. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks. I'll give them a go tomorrow, and see what I think.

FrayB, I'm considering these too, did you find that the pad wasn't particularly comfy?

I found the pad very comfortable to be honest and isnt obtrusive like a lot of other brands out there when trying to mount the saddle (for me at least). It's just the actual fitting and how they sit around the legs, groin etc. I bought two pair and tried the others on to see if there was any difference between the two. Unfortunately it must just be the style/ fitting isnt for me. At that price though I'd say they're definately worth a punt. If you find the fitting not 100% to your liking you will still get some use out of them, just for shorter rides.
