Bargain road bike for commuting. Looks a half decent spec carbon forks, claris gears not microsuck. HT chainset I think ...
Per the spec (not random image) it's square taper (and unusually 'square on' orientation rather than 'diamond').
After @fossyant 's 'spot' encouraged image scrutiny, I notice that neither the front nor the rear pneumatic tyre has a valve!! And that the (carbon) steerer tube has no spacer above the stem which is poor practice.
Chainset spec:

  • BB Standard: BSA, 68mm, threaded
  • Bottom Bracket: PROWHEEL BSA THREADED FOR 2-PIECE CRANKSET
  • Crank: PROWHEEL OUNCE-421C-TT-N 50/34T

They’re the same company, all Blacks Leisure (in turn owned by JD Sports it seems)

Who are, in turn, majority owned by Pentland Group who also own Berghaus and Endura among others

WiggleCRC are selling 10 speed quick link x50 for £14.99 by SRAM in black. I am on my phone and the app doesn’t have a share link button otherwise I’d have shared it here.

Good morning,

If you are considering an e bike, this is a lot of ebike for £2k.

Hydraulic Tiagra drivetrain including chainset and Mavic Ksyrium S wheels ... .....but delivery is towards the end of January.

You might want to do some research about what Ribble claim on delivery timescales and when they actually deliver. Was discussed recently here somewhere

Not saying every bike will be the same but caveat emptor and all that

Good morning,

@Dadam who has offered me some very helpful advice on another ebike thread seems to have had issues with Ribble which is why I am considering an almost new Orbea with a greatly inferior spec.

[Edit - Ribble replied and "Required" is just other bits and they are in stock unless there is a red date next to the item which would be the expected reciept date]

I have asked Ribble for clarification that Required is their out of stock bits and if this is so there seems to be quite a few, some of which may be quite specific to them and some like the battery which could easily take quite a while to appear!

It seems odd to run out of many of the things on this list though such as M5x20mm bolts.
