Thanks, got 2 of those SRAM chains and an 11-sp Ultegra chain for £34.77 delivered.

Good morning

£13 for a torque wrench 2-24Nm, being Planet X I have no idea if this really is 58% off:smile:?

There is of course the question of is it any good and if you need a torque wrench do you want to risk a cheap 'n' cheerful one?

Trying to put the Jobsworth brand into context note the rather weird looking chainwhip in both the low selling price tookits with Jobsworth and Halfords branding, suggesting a possible common supplier

Given that 5Nm is a common limit this raised my eyebrows; NB:The Jobsworth Pro Torque Wrench has a minimum working setting of 2NM. Selecting a value below this level removes the 'torque limit' function and could result in overtightening of bolts. Hopefully the calibration is accurate.

While your at it, or not, Mile Muncher tyres are back down to £13, I have only recently tried them and at this price, for me, they are excellent commute/general purpose tyres, plus you can go retro and have tan sidewalls.:becool:

Good morning

Thanks for this.

I compared the image of the torque wrench to the one offered by Wiggle/Rose and others which sells for £32 and at first glance they look the same.

But the head of the Planet X looks more agricultural to me.

That's what the previous model of torque wrench that PlanetX sold under whatever brand they were using at the time looked like. I have exactly the same one under the X-Tools name. It seems like they've changed supplier and rebranded it.

It does what I need it to do - give me an indication of when a bolt is correctly tightened. I have no idea of how accurate it is as I've got nothing else to compare it to or had it calibrated.

It's easy to check a torque wrench at home.

Although the caveat is that with a small torque wrench the distance involved and the weight have to be very accurate for the test to me meaningful.
I've used this method on long (car-use) torque wrenches, and they turned out to be surprisingly accurate over a long range egh from 20lbf to 100lbf there was at most a 3% variation. Given these were Draper Quality rather than Snap-On products, I was surprised.

Tifosi 9 speed HG compatible 11-34 cassettes at £16. with another 10% off for multiple purchases, https://www.spacycles.co.uk/m8b0s150p4880/TIFOSI-9spd-HG-(Shimano-Compatible)-Cassette
The spacing is interesting, which is why I've bought some. The top and bottom ratios act as an overdrive and underdrive, leaving 7 nicely spaced cogs between the extremes.
Interesting. That 34t offeres a Hail Mary option (eg with compact chainset). And from the image it looks as if the 13t is an 'outer' so one could ditch the 11t and insert a 14t in there to make the steps sensible and get the span to 21t (34-13). Tempted.
Wiggle have a Tifosi 11sp cassette at £9 !! https://www.wiggle.co.uk/tifosi-hg-11-speed-cassette

Anybody know what the quality of Tifosi cassettes is like? and the shifting - how smooth. I run 9-speed x-34 at the moment, and my current cassette was (way) more than this one.
