Don't know what these gloves are like, but I use Altura reflective gloves for commuting when it's dark & I find that car drivers can clearly see handsignals

For that price, yes. It's a good £300 wheelset for £75.
Picked some up for the Mrs (tbh I'd think you'd only notice the red rims out the box, and given her 'old' Tarmac is blue and white with red accents it'll go fine

It's sort of your fault I'm now £75 poorer......
Not fussed about the red rims, they'll be on the commuter so almost instantly black.
Just noticed a crack in my rear wheel - Zipp 30s I've had now for nearly 6 years, so these two wheelset deals on Vision 35s and the Essentials Road 2 have come just at the right time. I'm not fussed about the £50 difference between the two, so which one would you guys recommend?

The superstar ones are pretty snazzy, just arrived half an hour ago which is impressive in itself. They're supplied without axles or rim tape which isn't an issue but I hadn't realised.
Did happen to see that at the bottom of the page - no rim tape or axles. Thoughts on quality of hub and spokes?

I was interested in both sets but the red put me off the superstar,if they were black,I would have went for them over the vision wheels..the vision wheels seem very badly reviewed.In the end I went for campagnolo khamsin for 135 from merlin,This included a loyalty voucher.150 without

Yep, that's what I mean, the bits with the springs and the bar.
So I'd take my wheel advice with a large pinch of salt.
They seem pretty solid imo, the join is very obvious though for what it's worth

Whilst checking out the lightset, I spotted this toolset @ £29.99 which seems remarkably good value ... if you don't have most of the components already of course! Useful for someone just starting out perhaps?
