Hi all

As the days get colder, I find myself thinking about getting a Foska bones jacket:

I worry a bit about the sizing, though.

I'm 6' 6 1/2" but very slim, chest size 40. Also have fairly long arms -- well, I guess they're in proportion to my overall height. My shirts have 36" sleeves. Now I've got a M size S/S Foska jersey, which fits very well, despite the offical size chart claiming that it's for a 37-39" chest. I should presumably go up to L at least for the jacket, which is supposedly a 40" chest, but worry about the sleeves, and obviously don't want the body to flap around too much.

Be grateful for any info!

If you do a quick forum search, i once measured mine.

Dimensions of mine (jacket laid flat)
Chest, pit to pit; 54cm
Front, bottom of collar to hem; 59cm
Back, bottom of collar to hem; 74.5cm

But didn't measure the arms - they are;
57cm pit to end of cuff
85cm from where shoulder meets collar (raglan sleeve) to end of cuff.

(Measurements taken from an "L" bones, laid flat). I find mine a bit too warm, and hardly ever wear it - I was thinking of putting it in the classifieds...

Cheers John, very helpful. I've got a Gore Oxygen III waterproof whose sleeves are perfect for me, and the pit to cuff measurement on that is a whopping 70cm (could probably get away with a few cm less). Front bottom of collar to hem is only 53cm, so their sizing is clearly *very* different from Foska.

Pity, cos that bones jacket is about the coolest thing I've seen around! I love my Oxygen, but 'cool' certainly isn't a word that springs to mind :smile:

those foska tops look excellent on their sites but they always look a bit crappy when I see them in real life, a bit boxy and staidly cut, maybe that's the just the body type of the sorts of people that buy them

I've not bought any in a while, but I like the cut of them, personally.

Not as figure hugging as Vermarc, but quite pleasant on the days I don't want to continually hold my breath.
