Bidons, of a certain kind

My much loved Garmin-Chipottle bidons (yep, they're that old) have finally died. Probably became a health risk too in honesty. Still, whatever, I'm in need of some new ones. Thing is, they were special so I want a special replacement (and I don't mean fancy colours expensive) They had some kind of funky delivery system that meant you could tip them, without squeezing, to get a measured amount (5ml I think) And they looked cool (to my eye) which was the main thing, let's be honest.

Every bidon I've seen (Decathon, bike shops, etc) just look, well, ordinary in comparison. I get that they're only water bottles and I will probably succumb eventually out of dire need (and change them more often) BUT is there anything just a little bit different? Or have I imagined something that doesn't exist?

Edit: web searching around, I think they might have been an earlier iteration of CamelBak's podium bidon.

I have so many bottles but my favourite is the Camelback Podium as it never leaks. With the Podium you also have the option of completely shutting off the flow so if you fancy going for a walk you can put it in a backpack and it again won’t leak.

Just ordered a couple of 'em, 600ml smoke/black. I'm sure they'll do the job but I hope I take to them as much as did my old garmin ones.

500ml bidons - well I call them bottles - are too small. I go with 750ml so 1 sufficient on a normal ride of up to 40miles and any further take 2.

I used to have a set of Zefal Magnums which I chose because they were just under a litre, but the nozzles never sealed properly, so you had to keep full ones upright. When they were knackered I got a set of SIS ones, chosen because they were as big as any others I could find, and because they were the only ones that didn't pull my teeth out opening them. A bonus was that they don't leak.

I just wish I didn't get bidons and bidets confused. Easy mistake to make, but unfortunate consequences.

Some time ago, a guy on the CTC forum dismantled the nozzle on his bottle and posted a picture. It was full of the sort of black sludge that you scrape out of drains when you clean them, which is why I never put anything other than clean tap water in mine.

What ever happened to Sigg bottles?
We used them. Then we had to have different colours.
All because someone, not me, put water in the primus and white spirit to boil for the noodles!
