Bike fit.

You've spent a fair bit on clothing, it makes sense.
see post 14.......had full retul fit, but didnt include shoe and cleat fitting

saddle height, tilt, stem length, bar widths etc all very comfortable. but still get pain on outside of right foot only, no knee pain at all anymore, so hoping the wedges will help my issue

ive spent circa 10k in last 6mths on cycling and this is my last issue to get sorted

thwy are 1mm angled wedges that go between the cleat and the shoe and raise the inner foot to its natural position when clipped into the pedal system

That's how Spesh shoes are made. My BG pros angle the foot out slightly, so I've replicated that with insole wedges from Specialized in my Northwave shoes as they are flat bottomed. Instead of cleat angle the wedges go under the insole or as Spesh call it 'footbed'.

Double check cleat position as well and make sure it's dead centre to ball of foot and axel. Shoe/cleat fit are absolutely one of the most important areas.

I spend quite some time getting things right when I have new shoes. I can tell at an instant now if one cleat isn't right.

Had 40 years of it, wife is even a Chiropodist not even her or her mates could help. A trip to Adrian Timmis for a proper fit along with moulded insoles and correctly fitted wedges did the job. Weird thing about the wedges is for many people they seem to go in the reverse of what they thought they would.

See my ankle is proper crap, it rolls to the outside, its why I get the pian.
Heres a TOP drawing, on the left if my ankle rolling to the out side. Shove the cleat wedge in and it should short it out? this is how I imagine it would work. Do you Agree?

No the wedge goes in crank side, which eleviates the pressure on the outside of the foot. Due to pressure being evenly spread across the ball of foot.

Hope that makes sense. See pic on post 11

Cant get links to work on my phone, but vickster has a link in one of the threads above from sigma sport.

Hey, update on my situation, I moved my cleat position from the middle of my shoe further inside, I did a 50 mile tide the other week and had no foot issues.
What prompted this was a dull pain on the outside of my left knee, I followed this below; while helping the knee pain It may have cured the foot pain too.

I get foot pain, both feet, end up numb, and cold, across the ball and to toes. I've had many fitting and adjustments on various bikes I've owned over the years, and know one can solve it.
