How'd it go?

Cheers guys - it went well other than my GPS failing (as well as a few wrong turns) and I think I was a few miles short of the target, but I learnt a lot....

I didnt need to eat half the food I took :hungry:
I drank well, but on reflection could have drank more - got through 4 and a half 750ml bottles. :cuppa:

I stopped to eat drink each 16 miles but only stopped for approx 4 to 5 mins - I feel I would benefit from stopping longer on a couple of those occassions.

I don't like gels at all - tried 2 and they were nowhere near as good as eating normal grub.

Thanks again for the advice and wanting to know how I did :hello:

Well done on your "ton".
I wouldn't worry about taking too much food, it has to be better than not taking enough and suffering because of it.

Well done.
Always better to have food left over than be short for such a long run.
Stopping longer always looks like a good idea. Overnight is even better.. However 5 minutes is regarded as a good length stop. Any longer and the benefits are marginal.

I usually eat a banana every 20 miles sometimes I'll have a flapjack and a banana l, I always stop for cake and hot chocolate somewhere. Usually about the 60 mile mark... Also I take gels as I find that when I get above 80 miles I struggle to intake solid food.
