also one of the italian styling house masters (think it was bertone but could have been mr pininfarina) looked at it at the motor show it was launched at and the crowd waited with baited breath to see what this master of automotive design was going to say,

he looked at one side, walked round the other "good God, they've done the same to this side!"

Princesses and Ambassadors...they were bad. A mate nearly killed us once - driving too fast approaching a hair pin, then realised the brakes were crap...we only just made it - he got a stack of abuse off us.

the austin princess was a lovely car

the leyland princess was a lump of cheese :biggrin:

I started to read that reply...thinking...hmmm , i actually liked that car :ohmy:...obviously another Marina lover out there !!!

Then i read the last line :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: Woulda spat me tea if i'd been drinking any :biggrin:

Gotta say, apart from the kingpins, it never let me down in the approx one year i had it.
Dont think they'd ever heard of anti corrosion treatment mind...
