Sounds like a bargain. I might do it twice.
In their dreams.

An blatant commercial rip-off of the Legion's Pedal to Paris ride. Much, much, cheaper, for one thing. The rip-off £925 if self-financed, £1900 sponsorship option (and oh look, they're unclear about how much the charity gets, fancy that). Pedal to Paris- £650 fees (kept entirely, and rightly, separate from sponsorship), £800 sponsorship requested. And they're OK if you don't raise the sponsorship minimum, I had an entry for 2011 though I only raised £280 the year before. It's actually organised by and for a service charity, not a chugging company. And brilliantly organised at that. Motorcycle outriders the whole way through France, excellent food and tech support, and the only ride, apart from the TdF, that gets a closure for the stretch to the Arc d'Triomphe. Do that instead.

I did the London Paris with them last year and had a great time.
And not one penny from what we paid Global Adventures went to charity ,, as we took the self funded option and for the money it was cracking value.
Basically we were looked after from the first minute to the last in good hotels and great food.

They normally email everyone involved and open a face book page so you can find out who is going with you

We did raised money independently for our local hospice but did it through suppliers at work ( over £4 grand was squeezed out of them BUT this was secondary to us going on the trip and only did the charity thing because we could and left it all to the purchasing director to do the squeezing)

"how much goes to charity , how much goes to charity ,,, that's all you hear these days , what's wrong with having a decent bike ride well organised and not having to feel guilty that some kids in Africa dont have clean water, or a soldier is not getting as new prosthetic leg even though he is a hero.

Aga , id have no hesitation going with them again.

Hi, thanks.I did look into it again last night, I'm tempted, and the self funding option is much better for me. I don't like people to be pressured if I ask them to 'sponsor' me. I don't want them to say that they' will pay for my, lets say, holiday.
