Folding v wired tyres

I have just fitted, with a titanic struggle (blistered thumbs), 2 wired Hardshell tyres. I have a clear memory of relative ease of fitting for the folding version.

• have I seriously weakened in the last 12 months?
• are folding tyres inherently easier to fit?

i prefer wired as i find them easier to fit

Some rims don't like some tyres, my track bike has ambrosia rims, michlelin tyres no worries, vittorias an absolute bitch to fit.

Folding are lighter than the wired version.

Folding are lighter. Much prefer folding tyres for fitting.

Same here. Find folding much easier to fit than wired.

Folders here too, i find them a lot easier which is a bonus if your doing a tube change in the middle of nowhere .
