So it becomes Le Voyage de Sahar!Great! Sahar many does that make altogether..?
Davy and Martint will be on the 'road to Rouen' as soon as Capn. Bligh weighs anchor out of Newhaven. I will be taking the choo-choo from Gare du Nord on Monday, like Olaf and Katerina...any others sashaying around in Paris on Sunday? Last year was a quiet affair...think Frank and I spent a lot of €, aided by Titus' exremely expensive coffees. We managed to sit on the Champs Elysees all day! (Of course, when the riders came along we couldn't be bothered to get up and concede our 'strategic position', but the spare bikes on top of the support vehicles at the rear of the peloton was in full view ("Seen one bike - seen 'em all" theory was being applied frivolously at the time...) and it was shifting a bit quicksmart!Just to add that two of us are returning from Paris to Dieppe staying Monday night in Rouen for the Tuesday evening ferry ('cos the Monday ferries are full). If anyone wants to join us ...
That would be silly, Thom. The ride is on a Friday. What's the form regarding sign up this one (just the ride to Newhaven) ? If still possible, I can do this although I'd keep an eye on the thursday weather forecast.
Teef, I'm more concerned about the massive thunderstorm currently forecast for Thursday evening. Longer distance forecasts have the habit of amending their eta - call me a wimp but I'm not a weather masochist. That would be silly, Thom. The ride is on a Friday.
You're a wimp.Teef, I'm more concerned about the massive thunderstorm currently forecast for Thursday evening. Longer distance forecasts have the habit of amending their eta - call me a wimp but I'm not a weather masochist.
Nor am I. Best thing is to bear in mind Simon's adage for situations glumweathery... "We should be ok, it'll just miss us", and that will reassure you.Teef, I'm more concerned about the massive thunderstorm currently forecast for Thursday evening. All has come to nought, alas. I need to be in the office on Friday, and preferably having had a night of sleep, so I am sorry to say I am out.My plan is to ride down and then ride home
Putain!, In Dieppe, Davy will be looking for a local squeeze to sit upon his thigh while he pulls and pushes, and generally faffs around incomprehensibly...eliciting squawks for his efforts. So it becomes Le Voyage de Sahar!

great. Now you're all degree'd up in Geography, you can read the mapsSo I might get on a ferry on Thursday morning, wait about a bit and join the ride to Paris - I fancy that Bradley Wiggins for the yellow jumper.
