Uber's flying taxis will be small, electric aircraft that take off and land vertically, or VTOLs, with zero emissions and quiet enough to operate in cities. ... Uber, which has partnered with the Dubai government, expects to conduct passenger flights as part of the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Plus Amazon will have their package delivery drones running as soon as they can. The skies in a few years ( I think about 10 years) will be cluttered with automated traffic.

Uber and Amazon have been full of **** for quite some time now. Most of their big ideas are vapourware. My company is yet another one jumping on the drone wagon and we are fully aware of some of the technical challenges with autonomous drones. Non-autonomous is a lot, lot easier to crack.

Just hope whoever ends up flying a non-autonomous drone is a sight better at it than most of the courier drivers around here. I foresee retrieving my parcels from the roof. Or the pond.
