It looks like manufacturers are planning to lunch flying cars shortly! Will these make the roads safer or more dangerous? What are the implications for cycling?

Won't make any difference to the roads due to the expense and difficulty required in obtaining a pilots licence excluding most users. Even the die hards may get a bit tired of doing the pre flight in the pishing rain when they're already late for work.

If it's cheaper than a Cessna and doesn't require an airplane hangar then it could rekindle my interest in flying.

Any option to avoid the M25 is something I'll consider.

Metro seems typically confused about when we're likely to see them flying. The manufacturer quotes "deliveries within the next three years".

I don't know - I think an LAPL license is for things like gliders and microlights, I don't know what they do in practise.

Well I suppose the big question is how high will they be allowed to fly? Will they need to keep to exsting roads or will new routes in the sky be made? Could make overtaking interesting. Will they be allowed afterburners!? Lol.
