The look as though they would accept two bolt. I also really like them. cheap too dunno how long the ratchet would last though

typical bike snobs on the thread - they will take a two bolt spd but you have to buy the fitting that goes under the sole inside the shoe....the fitting will then allow you to use two bolt spd's and be able to slide them up and down the sole in the slots to your prefered position

My question was why one slot is 3x bigger than the other, seems bizarre. I have SPD shoes and the two slots of the same length and aligned top and bottom.

I still wouldn't buy a pair of no name shoes from Beijing cheap or not. And at £50+ delivered they aren't that cheap if they are no good and can't be returned easily!

I've got a couple of pairs of Muddy Fox shoes. They actually came with the SPD slider already underneath the grooves, These have a similar sole on them. Get the SPD fixing sliders under the grooves, and remove the three screws that are there for fixing SL cleats. Then you just screw the SPD cleats to the slider, and bob's your mother's brother. I quite like shoes with this type of sole.

I was wanting a pair of flouro shoes but after seeing the price of good ones I'm looking for a cheaper option lol , I tend not to ride I. The rain so I don't need waterproof covers , just something bright

Gore and Shimano do fluorescent overshoes - the sidi ones are lycra so wont last too long if you do any walking at all (IIRC they brought them out for pro riders whose teams are sponsored by Sidi but where an individual rider might prefer a different brand of shoe, so the overshoes are to make them look like they have Sidi shoes on )

You can get a lot better of a shoe for the same price, or even less. These are Chinese knock-offs, I doubt they will be comfortable and probably won't last very long, either.

Look at DHB (Wiggle) Northwave or Shimano shoes for much better quality at a similar price.

Not all cycling shoes are made by small, bearded Italian artisans with tiny hammers. Lots of big brand cycling shoes are made in China (Northwave are made in Vietnam) - and these aren't 'knock offs' anyway. There's no reason to expect that the shoes in the first link will be inferior to any other.

Except there are no UK based retailers of the Santic 'brand', so no way of trying before buying, or indeed returning in any straightforward way. Given I've probably bought, tried on and returned about 10 pairs of shoes in the last year due to extremely awkward feet, I would be 99% likely to end up £50+ out of pocket when the parcel goes awol on the way to Guangzhou

Or at least £30+ once you've factored in the initial delivery cost, return shipping charges and 10% restocking fee as their T&Cs

That's fine, but an individual's buying preferences are not a reason to rubbish the brand, or Chinese manufacturing, which is what some have been doing.
