 It looks like it was at the very end of Fleet Street; the intersection with the road off Blackfriars Bridge.
''A201 City Of London - A201 Farringdon Road closed and queueing traffic in both directions between Ludgate Circus and the A201 Blackfriars Bridge junction, because of accident investigation work. Diversion in operation - affecting bus routes 4, 11, 15, 17, 23, 26, 45, 63, 76, 100 and 172. Also affecting Fleet Street at Ludgate Circus.''

The video on that link shows an awful lot of poor and inconsiderate driving/

Does no-one understand the concepts of traffic lights and yellow boxes?
This is ridiculous. Does anyone know what the collision and KSI rates are for other types of vehicle at junctions in London?

It's beginning to become an acceptable statistic.
I don't know the figures but there's a statistic which looks a bit like 95% of the fatalities caused by 5% of the traffic - construction trade vehicles. Still, these not-fit-for-road vehicles have the aid of banksmen to get them on to the road outside their sites. And London will never be built. As they say, ''making a killing.''

"The body remained under the lorry for more than an hour and a half after the crash. Police officers covered it with a blue tent until it was removed. His yellow bike lay mangled between the front two wheels on the left hand side of the vehicle. Other debris was scattered to the right of the lorry."

This and other gruesome statements,is it really necessary to print them? Those tipper/skip trucks are usually driven by madmen who see us cyclists as "slowing them down" in their quest to beat deadlines! If it's not sh!t dropping off them causing a hazard to us, it's being buzzed by them!

Rip,

That front left defo looks illegal.. makes you wonder about the rest of the lorry.

And lastly.. who would risk their licence and job driving it?

I understand your view. I was in two minds myself but, distressing as it is for his family, maybe it's what is needed to bring the stark horror of such incidents to the forefront of drivers' minds. It might help focus their attention on the consequences of not driving properly around us (and I'm not saying this particular driver was at fault, I don't know enough of the circumstances).
