Flat bars to drop bars on tourer

Getting drop bar controls to play nice with low ratio touring gears can be tricky unless you opt for bar end shifters. Bar bags and gear cables is another issue.
Drop bars vary in shape, esp drop depth and radius. For touring I like shallow drops.
The default handhold on drops ( brake hoods) should be located in your normal riding position. Move the bars to your hand, not visa versa.

Nicely done, OP. Lucky we have nice smooth roads down here (south west) so your bottle will stay in its cage.

Not sure what you mean by "drop bar controls". Are you including STIs and ergos as options? Or is this is friction levers only with a 6 speed block?
