Ive got a cheap Viking Fixie and I've found it great for commuting but its pretty flat round here; if i was somewhere hillier I'd find something lighter (it weighs 13.5kg).

I've just purchased a basic Viking Fixie and have to say that I've not had so much fun on a bike in ages; plus the workout is A+++. The bike seems okay for what it is; although I can see me changing the tyres over to Gatorskins (peace of mind for when going through parts of the local cycle track that can carry a lot of broken glass). I've also noticed that basic hills aren't a problem.
