I find that QR aren't any good for fixed rear wheels. It's not that they don't grip firmly enough, they do. The problem lies in the ability to get the wheel aligned in the frame & the chain tension right quickly. I simply can't achieve this easily with an QR on horizontal dropouts. If you've got vertical dropouts & using a chain tensioner then you're not going to have problems.
