Well, only a few weeks after it was fixed, its now broken again
Yes fixed is simple, and its ment to be hard wearing, but not my fixed!
At some traffic lights trackstanding, go to move off and my power goes, look down and my chain is off. Ok i thought, the chain has just jumped off(luckily it didnt catch) so i pulled over and got to puting the chain back on. I then notice a chainring bolt has come out![Wacko  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smls/wacko.gif)
![Wink ;) ;)](/styles/default/xenforo/smls/wink.gif)
So, thats me done. I wasnt going to ride it home as it was so i got a lift back.
Called bike shop up and he says i need a new frame. The chain-line isnt exactly spot on, but its good enough, the crankset isnt the best, but its good for the money i ave, and the frame is abit old and flexy and not really ment to be run as fixed.
Ive sort of decided to get a new frame, and build up a proper fixed. The fixed now is abit of a bodge(as bad as it is to say) because its a 120 hub spaced up to 130.
The chainline cant be got any better because the cranks are over as far as they can go already, so they cant be got better.
Am i doing the right thing? I love riding fixed, but the problems with it now are just making it hard for me to see the fixed i have now as reliable.
Ive priced it all up, and its abou £280 as a quick look without shopping around too much. Ill give it a go building it up completely myself(probably with some help from dad if needed) and see how i go on.
