Hello, I've brought some new Kenda tyres off ebay I am in the proccess of trying to fit them all was going well untill i tried to inflate them but they wont inflate evenly I get a slight bulges in places and the rim of the tyre dosent seem to fit evenly around the edge of the wheel. I wanted 700 x 38C but they sent me 700 x 40c would that make any diffrence?

Any help would be great .

Does the tyre look ok when not inflated?
Wouldn't have thought the difference between 38 and 40 would make much difference
make sure the tube isn't twisted in the tyre.
With one bead completely off, insert the tube with it flat, and then before putting the bead on, inflate it very slightly, just enough to give it some shape.
then put the bead on.
THEN start to put pressure on.

Bonj Thanks for the adivce the innertube is not twisted in the tyre checked that twice. The tyre looks a bit uneven when not infated and slightly twisted. I will nip out and try the other things you have suggested so far and see what happens.

Thank you

Put soapy water all around the beads of the tyre / rim before you pump it up. This should help the tyre joggle its self into position. Then pump it up to a high a pressure as you dare.

If the tyre still looks deformed then perhaps it is / thats why it was on ebay in the first place!

Then pump it up to a high a pressure as you dare. - Or the max stated PSI on the tyre wall; whichever is lower
