I have a max of 195 bpm in all out effort.. And now I am getting to tops 180 and legs quit on me... Pushing as hard as I can.. I know is not an everyday thing to reach your max... but I am getting issues getting to where I can consider a tempo effort and to hold it there..

Your MHR will not have changed that much. If it was 195 previously, then it will still be within a few beats of that now. Whether you can still hit it as easily as you did before is another matter..

I will try tomorrow at the end of my ride.. There is a hill where everyone goes really quick.. Will try to stay with them.. That would do it..

I have not cycled for near 12 months but what I can say is that I was always going somewhere. Going somewhere always meant a new bit of exploration whilst along for the ride.

It is part of the very same reason why I am taking a break. Do you simply need to be going somewhere?

But this is the 'training and fitness' forum - not the 'going for a nice bike ride' forum.

Nothing amiss with shoving 2 or 3 20% hills into the route. I certainly did, though that is par the course for West Durham.

Why get bored out of your brain doing the very same route time and time again?

Not really sure what you are trying to achieve. Hitting MHR should not be an objective in itself.

I am not trying to get anything.. I was just checking with you all if it was a sign of getting better or worst.. The HRM just came up..

Sounds like you're tired, when I was doing a manual job and on the turbo in the evening I would find that if I had a heavy day at work I was struggling to get the heart rate up whilst on the turbo, I would then walk away and have a break from training.
