Fitbit Surge or Mocrosoft Band?

Gave up with the Vivosmart after a failed band, a dead screen (everything functioned, but you could not see it) and one that "bricked"

Used the Fitbit charge HR which works fine for what I need

I have a Garmin Fenix / Suunto Ambit if I want GPS

I did look at the Surge, but reports on battery life were sparse and reports of long connection times / frequent loss of signal on the GPS put me off
