When we did the Hull-Hornsea forum ride, a while back, I wanted a fishcake with my chips in Hornsea, and was told they only did fish patties, so I had one of those, and it turned out to be what seemed like a wodge of mashed potato, at which a fish had been waved for flavour, battered and deep fried. A bit odd I reckoned.
Can't see anything wrong with a fishcake sarnie. I don't have fish fingers in the freezer too often, I have no self control and would end up cooking the whole lot in one go...

I had a fishcake in Hawes once that sounds a bit like that...no fish in it as far as I could see or taste, just seemed like a large wad of battered potato....
