I had my first "clipless moment" on the 2nd of January. I was approaching a road from a dedicated cycle path, unclipped my right foot, as I knew I would have to stop, but unbeknown to me, the elastic on my overshoe had caught in the pedal clip. As I slowed to a stop, panic ensued, but was unable to get my right foot free to steady myself. I very unceremoniously fell onto my left side. Once the initial shock had passed, and not feeling any unbearable pain, I lay there on my side, laughing out load at what had just happened, anyone passing at the time must have thought I was mad.
