Skiing's going to be WICKED this year!!!

My in laws in the Tyrol tell me there is plenty of snow there, unlike January this year when I found my self cycling along the x-country ski piste...

We've got a good three inches so far this morning and it's still coming down, proper picture postcard fluffy stuff and the trees have come over all chocolate boxy. Down in the valley as I was leaving for work it was only an inch deep and very wet.

There's something quite smugness inducing about seeing everybody getting to work as normal in weather which would have the good old UK collectively going into therapy because of the traumatic nature of it all.

OK, that's it. I can see white everywhere from my window starting about 100m up from where I am.

Pitztal this weekend. I'll have to rent a car as the fabled European public transport is in fact utterly shite if you travel east-west from one nation to another. Now where did I put all my gear....

Actually it was the Schwarz Zee route. I walked up and got a little scared as the snow drifts got larger ......
