Those shoes aren't ideal for commuting if you have to walk any distance from bike to work station
SPD enable easier walking as the cleat is recessed
There's a poor review of the Allez in the new cycling active. I realise reviews are very subjective but 75/100 is as low a score as I've seen for a long time, the main compliant being a clunky groupset and very weak brakes (which they suggest as an immediate upgrade). To be fair they reviewed at full price, the value for money score may have been higher at £480 (and a little less if you factor in c2w)
