A novelty for me.

Having only started riding on the 25th Jan this year, every ride has been in the cold, almost rain.

Until today. A balmy 7deg C, 21 miler rode in 1hr 17min at average of 15.8mph. Well happy.

The previous ride was demoralising, same distance in the cold, 1hr 25min at 14.8mph average - thoroughly horrible.

Enjoyed today, and brought mileage to date up to 180.

good work! Your quicker than me!

I started about the same time as you, may have even been the same day, and I have resorted to an old pair of rollers from ebay to keep me going!!!!

Bring on spring!

It's supposed to be relatively warm here tomorrow (Bern, Switzerland) and I'm hoping to use the road bike for the commute for the first time this year...fingers crossed!!

What`s this "warm" ride ?
its been close to freezing on every ride ,even with overshoes my feet were white on Sunday.

I had to do star jumps to feel my toes on Sunday!

Even at this your quicker than I was today, and thats after 8 months, I did 27.4 miles @ 14.36mph. I was to hot today to be honest, got use to the cold.

Mine took a while to get warm. Though to be fair it's one of the driest months I have ridden in, but thats just my rides, less than 1/2 a mm all month compared with 4.35mm last month (totals)

Well Done.
I know what you mean about the cold Its my feet that suffer all the rest of me seems ok, so if Feb is dry but cold month (looked at the rainfall for my area 2012 and that was a dry month too) it at least will make cycling in the summer seem positively barmy? as in hot!

Baltic here first thing. Same yesterday too. Was all organised to go out for a ride, frost but sun trying to make a welcome appearance then within 10 minutes you could hardly see a hand in front of you due to a very sudden and thick fog/mist. Can cope with the cold but not chancing it out when things on road are difficult to see.....especially me.
