Agreed, I assumed he wouldn't run'em near flat!

One of my friends (a foolish friend) decided that he would be able to drive his car on a flat for a fews days until he had time to get to the local garage. Cost him a fortune for a new wheel because the flat tyre provided zero protection from some speed bumps.

Your palms are trying to tell you something. You won't "get over it."

You need to listen to your palms and pad them and/or attend to the bike fit issue that is causing the problem. Plus ... well, we already covered that.

Move your seat back a bit...
