First proper ride on new bike

Been out on the new Ribble CR1 bought last week, 23 miles from Radcliffe through Bury, Ramsbottom, Helmshore, over Holcombe Hill and back through Bury to home.
Loved it, I can't believe the difference between this and my Trek hybrid, chalk and cheese.
Still a lot to learn and need to gain confidence in the drops and a totally new riding position.

Pint of shandy might go down well one lunchtime, Mondays are out as we look after the grandchildren, and next Friday out all day at Pageant of Power.
Very busy being retired you know.

Been out again this morning 16 miles, can't get me off it.
Senior Management might get grumpy.

Out again.........Radcliffe, Bury, Edenfield, Rawtenstall, Crawshaw Booth, Townley, Waterfoot then back thorough Rawtenstall etc.
39 very hot, hilly miles.

Had many holidays in Rawtenstall in the 70's. My Mum and Dad had friends who ran the Post Office there
