If accurate, that would probably be for a few metres only on the apex of a tight very steep bend.

There is a steep climb near here (Mytholm Steeps) featuring a stretch of 25% with a tight LH bend at the top. I got forced onto the inside of the bend when a selfish idiot driver cut me up on that bend. It must be about 40% there, on the cobbles in the second picture below. My legs just went completely and I toppled off the road onto the grass verge.

300km a week through London on a road bike.
Blimey, the gradient on that bend is evil :O

I doubt that bits right but the red bits on the graph denote plenty pain

Horrid climb, no doubt, but the OS map only has two black gradient arrows, which are apart

Several climbs have double arrows (even steeper) and some have a couple of pairs of those.

Sneck Yate Bank in Yorkshire has two pairs.

I failed on my ebike a couple of years ago, but thanks to a bit more fitness, I reckon I could creep up it now.

I am back home shattered but watching the tour. The climb i had to spilt into 3 sections but overall a good climb up and brillant view even at halfway had some wheelsuckers on the decent and done no work on the climb back up to clay bank .

Time to the summit was 28:59

You should have left the wheelsuckers bit out, it is utter rubbish.

Yeah, how can you have wheelsuckers on a descent?

More likely he was wobbling about all over the road and they thought it safer to stay behind.

Well done.Better to break it into sections than have a massive cramp half way and end up baling.

Next time try and just have one stop .On the third go try and do it in one hit.
Once you have conquered a climb its allways less daunting next time you do it.:okay:

I drove up there today to go to Lordstones Cafe with the children and look over Teesside.

That climb is evil in the car let alone on the bike. The 30% bit on the bend is correct.

You can camp at the cafe in a tpee thing.

Its a beautiful spot when the weather is like this and waht time did you go up it? I started the climb at 11 am

I didn't go up until 1:30ish but I did look out for you.

I am planning on getting the 2016/17 cyclechat kit when available so you may see me on Riverside Road between 8 and 8:30 most weekday mornings.
