I've just done some repairs on a friends recumbent trike, so obviously took it for a spin. I can't say I'm hankering after one.
I quite fancy one but storage would be a problem, as it is already a problem with the bikes I have.

Did it feel like you were going to fall over going round fast bends and was it hard on the wrists steering against adverse cambers?

I would like to get one, but most that I’ve seen are too expensive, I've seen the one's on ebay from Aussie and someone on here bought one and it looks OK, but I think I would like one for off road and the KMX nobody in this country likes them, but have a good following in the states so I'm still unsure.

I've a hankering after, but the costs are ridiculous, cycle manufacturers rip-off the general public, but trike manufactures seem to take it to a whole new level

I consider that the £1009 that I paid for my Performer Trike to be very reasonable and money well spent.

They have small production runs - it's a small market. Also the engineering is usually very good - they are made by specialists.

BTW you don't have to ride a trike to ride a recumbent. I have a 2 wheeler and they are just as manouevrable and storable as a regular bike.

Do they have a UK dealer?
Sadly no UK dealer.
I bought mine from A1 Adventuresports - eBay shop. The dealer is a guy called Steve and the service I received was really good. If buying from eBay you have to add VAT and import tax to the given price......but when mine arrived no extra payment was requested.

Whilst reading the ‘who has the best bike’ thread I came across a recumbent bike picture. This looked interesting so I did a YouTube search and came upon Cruzbike.com. I watched two videos one of a Cruzbike Q45 being ridden by an old guy rather fast too and another one assembling a Cruzbike Q45 out of the box. These recumbent bikes are very interesting and I’m wondering just how many Cyclechat readers own a two wheel recumbent?
