First fifty

Just wanted to share my first 50 mile ride with you all :-)

Had a day of work and no children, weather was nice but a little windy.

Managed 53.3 miles which I enjoyed immensely, although my legs are feeling it now. Managed this in 3 hours 6 minutes and loved it.

Sorry to spout on but had to tell someone as my missus just thinks im daft. :-)

Thanks, yeh weather was as good as can be this time of year. Six weeks into my cycling life and it's very addictive :-)

Very well done. Good time too. Of course my first 50 could have been that quick if I hadn't crashed near Bridgnorth. (nah, not really. I'm not that fast)

to be honest with you i didn't pay much notice of the time as i was concentrating on how much you seemed to enjoy having the time to get out on the bike. However i have now worked it out and you (roughly) averaged 17 mph....now i would be well chuffed with that!!
