first day of summer ,where did you go?

As Norm says, we met up for some unauthorised calories in Windsor, and then he suggested I try the 'roads' round Virginia Water, Savill Garden etc, though he did warn me it might be busy. I went for it anyway - it was really pleasant, (cheers Norm) though riding at 3mph through crowds of people is a test of balance. Once the crowds thinned out in direct proportion to the distance from the car park, I had a really nice ride. Had to go home 'the long way' to get some pedalling in, as the crowds didn't help my average speed! All in all I rode about 40 miles before running out of time and water. Coming down Crimp Hill at speed was, erm, an experience though, see my other post entitled 'speed wobbles'. Perhaps I need to refine my skills before I can just let it roll down there...

It did feel like the first day of summer to me - really warm and sunny.
