Hello cycle chat peeps,

Last week my Revolution Trailfinder Women's '08 in azure blue with a 16" frame was stolen in Edinburgh. My dad suggested I put a note on Cycle Chat in the (extremely unlikely) event anyone comes across it. The Serial Number is SA 802 60600. Worth a try...

Sorry to hear that Moobaa. I know exactly how you feel, I have had four bikes stolen over the years. Makes you even more paranoid believe me.

That sucks Moobaa. I'd keep an eye on Gumtree and set up a saved search on ebay if I were you - you never know!

Welcome to the forum anyway - I hope you'll stick around. There are lots of Edinburgh folk on here. Wherabouts was the bike stolen by the way?

Welcome moobaa

Sorry about your bike - stick the details in the 'stolen bike' section, near the bottom of the forum lists in the drop down menu. You might get a better response.

Sorry to hear about your bike.

I had a bike stolen in Edinburgh many moons ago when we lived in Gillespie Crescent. My beloved Puch Alpine, in 1977. I had worked all summer (aged 14) to pay for it (£45!) and I was gutted.

It was found in a second hand shop about 3 months later but had been pretty much wrecked.

oh, that's rotten. Are there any local second hand shops, or bike recyling schemes, might be worth giving them the details - also any local bike shops in case someone tries to sell it...

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your advice! In the spirit of optimism I've been nosing through the second hand places I've noticed selling bikes, gumtree, ebay etc. I've also listed it as stolen on www.immobilise.com.

The police have been great and were in touch last week to say their recovery team has also been trawling through the second hand shops etc, but they've had no luck.

My dad has kindly offered to build me a new bike, which will be insured and chained to an angry hyena ;)
