Well tomorrow i will be doing my first 60 mile ride hopefully weather will be kind and not chuck it down.

It will good to see how long it takes me even though strava is saying 4 hours 5 mins (might be due to the fact a bit of the ride is on cycle track).

If you have any advice or tips for me please leave them.

Eat and drink plenty and go steady early doors.

Good luck, I'll echo all the advise above. On your own its really easy to go out too fast so keep an eye on your pace. East and drink regularly, I hope the forecast is better for the North East than it is for the East Mids.

If you can do 40 miles then with sensible pacing and feeding the. 60 will be easy - enjoy.

Do you have a cafe lined up? A hot drink after about 40 would be very nice in this weather.

Personally I stop to eat once or twice in 100k . But we're all different.

If it's windy, and you have a choice of route, try and get the headwind over and done with first, and hope for an easier home leg.

Good luck :okay:

Yes its in kildale but i don't know if i should stop when i get into kildale or when i reenter it due to the route heads back through it
