I'm perfectly used to decimal, but when you were born into a system that you used every day through your formative years until you started work life, it's virtually impossible to toss it aside.
Nothing amazing about it, at all.

I vividly remember the shame finding that my Mum (I was still at primary - just) had given me 7d for my break time crisps rather than 3p

it was a matter or honour to pay for your crisps with 'new money'
