The front one won't need to be as long as I expected as the mudguards I bought comes down quite far, but the rear is shorter than I would like.

I'm thinking that I will scavenge a length of reflective strip from an old harness for the front, which only needs to be about 5-6 inches to almost touch the ground. I fixed a square of this to hang down from the back of my helmet, and it works a treat for some extra hi-viz.

The rear is maybe more of an issue, as the anything hanging may touch the tyre if it is too flexible, and will stick out in an odd way if it's too ridgid. I'll measure the rough length needed in a bit.

Pond liner works (if you've got spare lying about). 2 litre pop bottles are good - the shape of the neck can be used so that the flap tucks nearer to the tyre as it get's lower down, so lessening 'flap strike' on curbs etc.

Go on any club run and you'll see all sorts !

Looks good. What fixings are those are where can you get them?
They are just small nut and bolts with an allen key fitting.
Scalpeled a small hole in the guard and the plastic, then shaped it best I could.
As for where I got them from?? Well, I work in engineering
